Prerequisites
- A Wix or BigCommerce store with products (images and prices required)
- A Microsoft Advertising account (free — sign up here)
- A Microsoft Merchant Center store (created inside Microsoft Advertising → Tools → Merchant Center)
Step 1: Install the App
On Wix
- Visit the Wix App Market listing
- Click "Add to Site"
- Select the site where you want to install the app
- The app opens automatically in your Wix dashboard
On BigCommerce
- Visit the BigCommerce App Marketplace listing
- Click "Install"
- Authorize the requested permissions (product read access, store info)
- The app opens in your BigCommerce control panel
Step 2: Setup Wizard
After installation, the setup wizard guides you through 5 steps:
2.1 — Choose Language
Select your preferred interface language. 10 languages supported: English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese (BR), Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Turkish.
BigCommerce Multi-Storefront: If your store has multiple storefronts, you'll also select which storefront to configure.
2.2 — Connect Microsoft Advertising
Click "Connect Microsoft Advertising". A popup window opens for Microsoft OAuth authorization. Sign in with your Microsoft account and authorize the app.
Don't have a Microsoft Advertising account? You can skip this step and connect later from the Dashboard.
2.3 — Select Merchant Center Store
Choose your Microsoft Merchant Center store from the dropdown. If you haven't created one yet, click "Create Store at Microsoft" to set one up.
2.4 — Configure Your Feed
Set up your product feed:
- Target Market — Country and language (e.g., France - French, US - English)
- Product Source — All products or a specific collection
- Variant Mode — All variants, first only, or cheapest
- Title Source — Product title or SEO title
- Default Condition — New, Used, or Refurbished
- Tax Settings — Auto-detected based on market (EU = tax included)
2.5 — Review & Sync
Review your configuration and either:
- Start First Sync — Immediately fetch products and submit to Microsoft
- Finish Without Sync — Complete setup and sync later from the Dashboard
Step 3: First Sync
When you start a sync, the app:
- Fetches all products from your store (Wix or BigCommerce catalog)
- Maps them to Microsoft Shopping format (title, description, price, images, identifiers)
- Validates each product (image required, price required, no adult content)
- Submits valid products to Microsoft Merchant Center via batch API
- Shows progress in real-time on the Dashboard
Synced products appear in your Microsoft Merchant Center within minutes. Products typically go live on Bing Shopping within 24 hours.
Step 4: Verify in Microsoft Merchant Center
- Go to Microsoft Advertising
- Navigate to Tools → Merchant Center → Your Store
- Check the Products tab — your synced products should appear
- Review any disapproved products and fix the issues
Troubleshooting
Microsoft account connection fails
Ensure popup blockers are disabled. The Microsoft OAuth window opens as a popup. If blocked, allow popups for bingfeed.novastack.co.
No Merchant Center store found
Create a store in Microsoft Advertising → Tools → Merchant Center → Create Store. The store URL should match your Wix/BigCommerce site URL.
Products not syncing
Check the Products page for error details. Common issues: missing images, $0 price, adult content flag. Products need at least one image and a non-zero price.
