Getting Started

Microsoft Bing Shopping Feed is a Wix app that automatically synchronizes your Wix store products to Microsoft Merchant Center. Once connected, your products appear in Microsoft Shopping ads on Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo — reaching millions of shoppers who aren't on Google.

The app handles all the technical complexity: field mapping, variant grouping, price formatting, expiration management, and real-time updates — so you can focus on running your business.

Installing is simple:

  • Visit the Bing Shopping Feed app page in the Wix App Market
  • Click "Add to Site" and select your Wix store
  • The app opens inside your Wix dashboard as an embedded panel
  • Follow the setup wizard to connect your Microsoft Advertising account

The entire setup takes less than 5 minutes. No technical knowledge required.

Yes, you need both:

  • A Microsoft Advertising account (formerly Bing Ads) — sign up free at ads.microsoft.com
  • A Microsoft Merchant Center store (catalog) created inside your Microsoft Advertising account

You connect these to the app via secure OAuth 2.0. Creating a Microsoft Advertising account is free — you only pay for clicks on your Shopping ads.

Product Sync

The app uses two sync mechanisms:

  • Webhooks (real-time): When you update a product in Wix, the change is pushed to Microsoft within seconds via Wix webhooks. Available on the Pro plan.
  • Scheduled sync: The app periodically polls your entire catalog to catch any missed updates. Frequency depends on your plan (24h, 6h, 1h, or real-time).

Products sync with all required Microsoft Shopping fields automatically mapped from your Wix store data.

The following fields are automatically synced from your Wix store:

  • Product title, description, and URL
  • Price (regular and sale price)
  • Availability and inventory quantity
  • Images (primary and additional)
  • Brand, GTIN, MPN (when available)
  • Product condition
  • Google Product Category (auto-mapped)
  • Custom labels (Starter plan and above)
  • Variant attributes (color, size, material)

Microsoft requires all updates to be full replacements — the app handles this automatically, ensuring every required field is always present.

You can choose from three variant sync modes in the feed configuration:

  • All variants: Each variant is synced as a separate product, grouped using Microsoft's itemGroupId field. This is the recommended mode for clothing, shoes, and similar products.
  • First variant only: Only the first variant is synced as a single product listing.
  • Cheapest variant: Only the variant with the lowest price is synced.

Variant attributes (color, size, gender, age group) are automatically mapped to the correct Microsoft Shopping fields.

When you delete a product in your Wix store:

  • The app receives a webhook notification immediately
  • The corresponding product is automatically removed from your Microsoft Merchant Center catalog
  • It will no longer appear in Microsoft Shopping ads

The same applies when you hide a product or set it as out-of-stock. The availability field is updated in real time to prevent shoppers from clicking ads for unavailable products.

Billing

Yes. The Free plan lets you sync up to 50 products with a 24-hour sync interval — completely free, no credit card required.

It's a great way to get started and see how your products perform on Bing Shopping before committing to a paid plan. You can upgrade at any time directly from the app dashboard.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the app settings panel inside your Wix dashboard.

When you upgrade, the new plan limits take effect immediately. When you downgrade, your current billing period finishes before the lower limits apply, so you won't lose access mid-cycle.

Billing is handled entirely through Wix Pricing Plans. You pay within the Wix dashboard using your existing Wix payment method — no separate account or credit card is needed with us.

Subscriptions renew monthly. You can see your billing history and manage your subscription from the Wix App Market section of your account.

Technical

The app supports all markets where Microsoft Shopping Ads are available, including:

  • Americas: United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil
  • Europe: United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, and more
  • Asia-Pacific: Australia, Japan, India, and others

That's 27+ markets in total. You can create separate feed configurations for different markets, each with the correct language, currency, and locale settings.

Microsoft has strict requirements for Shopping ads. Common reasons products are disapproved or show errors include:

  • Missing or invalid GTIN: For products with a barcode, ensure the GTIN is correct. The app automatically sets identifierExists: false when no GTIN/MPN/brand is available.
  • Low-quality images: Microsoft requires a minimum image size of 220×220 px. Use clear, white-background images for best results.
  • Prohibited products: Microsoft does not allow adult products (unlike Google). Some categories may also be restricted in certain markets.
  • Incorrect pricing: Ensure your Wix store prices are set correctly. Sale prices must be 5–90% of the regular price.

You can view detailed error descriptions for each product in the Products section of the app dashboard, along with suggested fixes.
